Turning the gap list into actual links
Filter your gap list to domains with authority 30+ that link to 2 or more competitors. Those are your highest-value targets — proven willingness to link to sites in your space.
For each one, find the page where they link to competitors. If it's a resource list ("Top 10 plumbers in Houston"), reach out and ask to be added. If it's a guest post, pitch them a guest post on the same topic. If it's an unlinked mention or quote, offer your data or expertise.
